DAVE WARNER: The Suburban Boy talks

His desire for music and an appetite for crime fiction

Known as the Suburban Boy thanks to his rock hit of the late 1970s, Dave Warner is now not only an engaging raconteur, but one of Australia’s finest wordsmiths!

Woy Woy Library
16 April, 2019 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Aided and abetted by a remarkable musician – or three – Dave will detail his life growing up in the suburbs of the world’s most isolated city, and how this shaped a desire for music and an appetite for crime fiction.

Dave’s new book River of Salt, which introduces a whole new genre of surf noir, has just been published. Dave will talk about the process of how the idea came about that a young hit man for the Philly mob in 1961, should wind up actually being our crime hero who solves a brutal murder on the other side of the world – in Northern NSW in 1963.

Join us on Tuesday 16 April 2.30pm at Woy Woy Library. Places are limited and bookings are essential. Reserve your seat today: BOOK NOW
