COLOUR OUR COAST: A fun run/walk with a colourful twist

A 5km circuit with five separate colour stations will become one of the most colourful events of the 2019 Lakes Festival.

The inaugural Colour Our Coast fun run/walk is open to anyone aged 12-24 with colour stations set up every 1km. So there’ll be no missing a little splash of colour.

Mayor Lisa Matthews said the event highlights Council’s commitment to deliver projects and events for younger generations.

“Young people have told us that they want to see more affordable and inclusive events on the Coast that they can be a part of,” Mayor Matthews said.

“This is a great opportunity for young people on the Coast to get out and about in the natural environment and do something positive for their physical health at the same time.”

The $5 entry fee will be donated to three local youth focused charities and organisations:

The Colour Our Coast fun run/walk and festival will be held on Sunday 10 November 2019, from 9am – 4pm at Picnic Point Reserve in The Entrance. Entrants can select one of the three start times held throughout the day.

  • Cerebral Palsy Alliance
  • Central Coast Kids in Need
  • Shoebox Revolution.
